The Place de l’Hôtel de ville (City Hall), which is called the Place de Grève until 1830, is located in Paris 1er near the Place du Châtelet and Centre Pompidou which then descended gently to the Seine on Right Bank. The Town Hall, in 1357, is the meeting place of Etienne Marcel, called the house with pillars. The current building dates from 1882. In 1944, it is the headquarters of the resistance.
