The Carnavalet Museum is the most Parisian museum of the capital located in Paris 3rd arrondissement near the Place des Vosges in the historic district of Marais! It is by passing under the imposing door of Jerusalem, rue des Francs-Bourgeois, that one reaches the gardens of the museum Carnavalet. From the entrance you enter a French garden of the seventeenth century adorned with massive pink flowers and rosebushes with poetic names like: Catherine Deneuve or lovers of peynet. Boxwood embroidery and cone-shaped shrubs add a touch of green to the landscape. In the background, just behind the great gallery connecting the two buildings, another French garden of the same period declines shades of blue, purple and white, in the center of which springs an imposing statue representing victory. The Musée Carnavalet presents collections of a great diversity, where archaeological remains, views of old Paris, decorative ensembles from missing buildings, portraits of illustrious Parisians, historical or anecdotal scenes, memories of famous men or testimonies of everyday life, as well as a unique set over the revolutionary period.
